Most women I work with did everything right. The career. The leadership roles. The decades of contribution. And still woke up one day wondering who they were outside of it.

The Person Behind the Work

A daughter, a mother, a grandmother, and a woman still becoming.

I am a mother of four and a grandmother of nine. My family is the anchor of everything I do and the reason I care so deeply about legacy. Not the legacy of titles or achievements, but the legacy of showing the people I love what it looks like to keep going when life gets hard. To rebuild with dignity. To choose growth over comfort even when it costs something.

I want my grandchildren to know that their grandmother did the work. That she did not just talk about resilience. She lived it, every single day, in the most ordinary and the most confronting moments of her life.

I have spent 35 years in personal development not because I had it figured out, but because I knew I needed to keep growing. The work has never been easy. It has never been finished. But it has always been worth it.

I do not teach what I have read. I teach what I have lived.

The Work That Changed Me

What a maximum security prison taught me about freedom.

One of the most profound chapters of my career was leading vocational education and training programs along with personal development programs inside a maximum security correctional facility. I went in thinking I understood resilience. I came out knowing I had only scratched the surface.

What struck me was this: freedom is not about where you are. It is about how you think. Inside those walls, I worked alongside men who had every reason to be hardened and closed. And yet, when we created a space of genuine safety and non-judgement, something extraordinary happened. People chose to look at themselves honestly. They chose to grow.

My team achieved an 85% voluntary program completion rate. Not because we were exceptional facilitators, but because we understood that every person, regardless of their circumstances, has the capacity to choose differently when someone holds space for them without judgement and believes in their potential without condition.

That work shaped everything I do today. It taught me that integrity is not what you do when people are watching. It is what you do when the stakes are highest and the audience is most vulnerable. It taught me that the deepest human need is to feel seen, to feel that who you are matters, and to believe that change is possible.

Holding space for someone without judgement is one of the most powerful things one human being can do for another.

The Walk That Revealed Everything

860 kilometres. 33 days. One step at a time.

In 2019 I walked the Camino de Santiago across Spain, alone. I did not walk it for adventure. I walked it because I needed to get quiet enough to hear myself think again.

There are moments in life when circumstances shake your identity to its core. When you are blindsided in ways you did not see coming and the toolkit you have spent years building no longer seems adequate. When everything you thought you knew about yourself is suddenly in question.

That was where I was when I stepped onto the Camino. And what 33 days of walking taught me was this: the answers were never outside of me. They were inside, waiting for the noise to stop.

That walk did not create my resilience. It revealed it.

The journey that followed required me to redesign my toolbag entirely. Not to discard what I knew, but to go much deeper. Into my nervous system. Into forgiveness. Into the kind of self-healing that does not happen through thinking your way out of pain, but through sitting with it long enough to understand what it is teaching you.

What Actually Works

My personal toolbag.

I believe every person needs a toolbag of practices that work for them. Not what works in theory. What works in real life, on real days, when everything feels hard. This is mine.

🧘

Meditation

A daily practice that creates the space between stimulus and response. Not about clearing the mind. About learning to observe it without being controlled by it.

🌬️

Breathwork

The fastest path to nervous system regulation I have found. When everything feels overwhelming, the breath is always available. It is the tool that never runs out.

🌿

Walking in Nature

860 kilometres of proof that moving your body changes your mind. Walking in nature is where I do my best thinking, my deepest processing, and my most honest reflection.

📓

Journalling and Reflection

Writing is how I make sense of my inner world. Not to perform. Not to publish. To excavate what is actually going on beneath the surface and turn insight into action.

🤝

Connection

We are not built to do this alone. Genuine connection with people who see you clearly and hold space without judgement is not a luxury. It is a necessity.

🛡️

Boundaries

The most recent and most transformative addition to my toolbag. Learning to hold boundaries with clarity and without guilt has shifted my life in ways I did not anticipate. This one is ongoing work and worth every uncomfortable moment.

"Between who you were and who you are becoming is the most important work you will ever do."

What I Stand For

Integrity. Innovation. People. Purpose.

These are not values I chose from a list. They are the principles that have guided every decision I have made in my professional and personal life. They are non-negotiable.

Integrity

Doing what you say you will do, even when no one is watching and especially when it costs you something. Integrity is the foundation of everything else.

Innovation

Staying curious, staying current, and being willing to challenge how things have always been done. Growth requires the courage to try something different.

People

Every piece of work I do exists to serve people. Not systems. Not metrics. People. This has been true in every role I have held and it remains true today.

Purpose

Purpose is not something you find. It is something you build through the choices you make about how you spend your time, your energy, and your attention.

Resilience Beyond Contemplation™

I am writing a book. Not because I have all the answers, but because I believe someone needs to read what I have not yet been able to say in a podcast episode or a blog post.

This book is about the real journey. The lessons that only come from facing what you have been avoiding. The forgiveness that sets you free. The peace that becomes possible when you stop asking why things happened and start going within.

If you have ever felt like you were carrying something too heavy to name, I am writing this for you. You are not alone in the journey.

  • The journey and its lessons
  • Facing what we have been avoiding
  • Forgiveness and how it sets us free
  • Finding your peace on your own terms
  • Rebuilding from the inside out
